In plain English: some of the links on EarnAndSell are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you. That's part of how this site pays its bills. It does not change our recommendations, and it never buys favorable coverage.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that carries a tracking code. When you click one and complete a qualifying purchase, the merchant pays the referring publisher (in this case, EarnAndSell) a commission. You pay the same price you would if you'd navigated to the merchant directly.

Which links are affiliate links?

Any outbound link to a software vendor, tool, service, or product we review or compare may be an affiliate link. Not every outbound link is — some point to primary sources, documentation, or independent research.

Programs we participate in include but are not limited to: Amazon Associates, Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale, Rakuten, CJ Affiliate, and direct affiliate programs run by the companies we cover.

Editorial independence

Our editorial standards come first. Concretely:

  • We do not accept payment for a positive review.
  • Vendors do not preview or approve our reviews before they are published.
  • We disclose material relationships (paid tests, free access, sponsored posts) at the top of any post where they exist.
  • We are willing to give a product a bad review even when it pays a commission.

Sponsored content

If a post is paid for by a vendor, it will be marked "Sponsored" at the top of the page. Sponsored posts are separated from editorial posts and are held to the same factual standards, but they are advertising.

This site follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We aim to make our commercial relationships clear, conspicuous, and unavoidable — hence the small disclosure box that sits at the top of every post that contains affiliate links.
